Reducing Redness – Sensible Skin Care

reducing redness

Though it may be a classic in makeup, the color Red is a problematic skin tone.  When you start to notice facial flushing, that means it’s time to take action. When you find yourself looking too flush:

 REMAIN CALM.

Stress is one of the causes of redness, and you don’t want to exacerbate the situation.

PUT DOWN THE PEPPER & PINOT. (or ADJUST YOUR DIET)

Wine & spicy foods are not going to do your face any favors when it comes to redness. Neither are caffeine, sugar, refined carbs, nor processed foods.

BE GENTLE ON YOUR SKIN.

Avoiding harsh cleaners or chemicals can go a long way to reducing redness.

UP YOUR ANTIOXIDANTS.

Slather them on skin, and incorporate them into your diet.

MOISTURIZE.

Basic moisturizer is one of the best weapons in your anti-redness arsenal.

If you remain calm, avoid aggressors and are gentle on your skin, you should see the redness diminish in no time!
