Thanks to products that I like to call Smoky 2-Steppers, a perfectly smudged smoky eyeis infinitely easier than ever before! The meticulous, 4-step smoky eye is a thing of the past, as women everywhere are opting for a more relaxed take on the classic makeup look.

LUST
Jane Iredale Mystikol ($24 ) is sure to have your lids looking smoldering in no time!
Why we LUST after it
- Comes in over 5 shades, 4 of which are absolutely divine!
- Allows you to achieve the “slept-in” smoky eye in little to no time
- Portable powdered eyeliner & highlighter in one pencil-sized product
- Long lasting wear with pigments a-plenty
Why were on the fence
- The onyx color is too dark for most
- Some women might not want a spring-powered device near their eyelid?
- My friend experienced problems with the powder spilling out of the cap- and all over her purse!

MUST
CoverGirl Smoky ShadowBlast ($8)
Why it’s a MUST
- Very nice looking color combos
- The shadows work well separately
Why we’re on the fence
- Colors smudge into each other too much
- Smears too easily
- Too creamy in consistency
- You MUST prime your lids before using
All things told, this is one situation where we think you’re much better off going for the more expensive cosmetic! The drug store version is good in principle, but not in application!
